I want to continue dancing as a ghost

Al maestro che mi ha sempre insegnato la poesia che abita l'effimero confine tra la vita e la morte... Buona notte e a presto, maestro Kazuo...
Eden Silva

“My soul will lead the way. With every step I take, my flesh is slowly withering away.
I’ll soon leave this world behind. How does one dance without body?
Don’t be afraid, in the hereafter we can continue to dance as a spirit, as a ghost.
A ghost dance is so truly beautiful, so beautiful, in fact, that one completely ignores that it
lacks a material form. Even on taking leave of my flesh and bones,
I want to continue dancing as a ghost” (Ohno e Ohno, 2004, p. 295).

Kazuo Ohno was born in Hakodate City, Hokkaido, on October 27 in 1906.
